What is a Cacao Ceremony:
Cacao Ceremonies are a celebratory ritual that have been conducted by the Maya and Ancient Aztec civilization since 1900 B.C. Ceremonies were conducted by ancient shamans, to prepare for or be propelled into journeys. Our ceremony will be conducted by a modern-day medicine woman, Erica Crystol.
We have built a lasting partnership and friendship with Erica. She comes to us from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is the owner of CrystolClear Naturals, LLC, a Wellness Spa and Apothecary Retail. Erica is the real deal, studying with tribes and chiefs in Belize, Costa Rica; including Chief Haru of the Kuntanawa tribe. More recently, Erica also traveled to Guatemala to specifically study Cacao with Ruk'u'x Ulew, a third generational women’s collective. During her time in Guatemala, Erica, experienced the entire process including harvesting, toasting, peeling and grinding of the Cacao.
Not only does the host of the ceremony matter, but in ancient times, the location of the ceremony was also a key factor to the self-exploration. We offer our sacred space to Erica, to enhance the experience.
Erica’s ceremonies include a perfect balance of education, shamanic journeying, sound and sacred chant.
What to bring with you: Your favorite cup from home to share in the cacao; a yoga mat an additional blanket for your comfort (optional) and a bottled water. Also, come with a light stomach. There’s no formal attire – dress comfortably and in layers.

Please note before committing to the event: Event fees are non-refundable. No refunds, or credits are allowed. Erica is joining us from out-of-town so her workshop can not be transfered to another date, however, if you are not able to make it for any reason, you can transfer the ticket to another person. If cancelled by teacher, all monies will be refunded.
